Got hit with an IP ban—how do I fix this? or Why did I get an IP ban and what can I do about it?

Had this happen on a forum once. Turned out my IP was flagged because someone else with the same ISP was spamming.

If you’re desperate, try a mobile hotspot or a library’s Wi-Fi. Fresh IP, zero effort.

Otherwise, just wait it out. Most IP bans aren’t forever unless you’re *really* on their naughty list.
