Can a Proxy Be Banned in School? How Do Schools Block or Detect Them?

Hey guys, quick question: can a proxy be banned in school? Like, I’ve heard some schools block them, but how do they even do that?

I tried using one last week to bypass the wifi restrictions, and it worked for like 5 mins before it just stopped. Do they have some kinda software that detects proxies? Or is it just luck?

Also, if they *can* ban proxies, does that mean they’re monitoring everything we do? Lowkey feels kinda creepy lol.

Anyone else had this happen? Or know how they block them? Just curious cuz it’s annoying af when you’re tryna watch something during lunch and it’s like NOPE.
