Wow, thanks for all the replies! Didn’t expect this much help. So from what I’m getting, an http proxy server is good for hiding my IP but not as secure as a VPN.
Tried ProxySite like someone suggested, and it worked for browsing but felt a bit slow. Might check out a paid one later.
One more thing—do proxies work with apps, or just browsers? Like, can I use one for gaming or Netflix?
