"Can Someone Explain the Main Difference Between IPv4 and IPv6 in Plain Terms?"

Hey everyone!

I keep hearing about IPv4 and IPv6, but tbh, I’m kinda lost on the *actual* difference between ipv4 and ipv6. Like, why do we even need IPv6?

From what I gather, IPv4 has those classic 32-bit addresses (think 192.168.1.1), but we’re running out of ‘em. IPv6 uses 128-bit addresses (way longer, like 2001:0db8:85a3::8a2e:0370:7334), so there’s basically unlimited IPs.

But is that the *only* difference between ipv4 and ipv6? Or are there other perks, like speed or security stuff?

Would love a simple breakdown—no tech jargon pls! Thanks y’all.

(Also, why isn’t everyone using IPv6 yet? Seems like a no-brainer…)
