What's the difference between forward vs reverse proxy? Which one should I use? Alternatively, if you prefer

Kinda late to the thread, but here’s my take:

Forward proxy = outbound (you -> internet)
Reverse proxy = inbound (internet -> your servers)

Use cases:
- Forward: Privacy, bypass filters, or scrape data (but don’t be shady lol).
- Reverse: SSL termination, caching, or hiding your backend servers.

Tools? NGINX for reverse, and for forward, maybe something like Shadowsocks if you’re feeling fancy.
