Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but you can also use DNSstuff.com to find whats the ip address to a website. Super handy and no commands needed.
And yeah, IPs aren’t always static. Some sites rotate ‘em for load balancing or security. But for your project, the IP you get today should work fine unless the site makes big changes.
