"Does a Public Proxy Server for Privacy Actually Keep You Hidden?"

Hey folks, been digging into this whole *public proxy server for privacy* thing lately, and I’m kinda torn. On one hand, it sounds like a quick fix to hide your IP and browse anonymously. But like… how safe is it *really*?

I’ve heard some sketchy stuff—like free proxies logging your data or even injecting malware. Plus, if everyone’s using the same IP, doesn’t that make it easier to track?

But then again, it’s *way* easier than setting up a VPN. So… is it worth the risk for casual privacy, or just a false sense of security?

Would love to hear your experiences (or horror stories lol). Cheers!
