"Is Using a Public Web Proxy Server Safe for Browsing Anonymously?"

Hey everyone,
So I’ve been looking into using a public web proxy server to stay anonymous online, but I’m kinda skeptical. Like, how safe is it *really*?

I get that it hides your IP and all, but some say these servers log your data or even inject malware. Not cool.

Anyone here have experience with public web proxy servers? Are they worth the risk, or should I just stick to a VPN?

Also, if you’ve got any tips on spotting shady ones, pls share!
