So, I keep hearing about "what is http proxy" but I'm kinda confused. Like, is it just some fancy tech thing or does it actually do something useful?
From what I gather, it’s like a middleman between your device and the internet. It hides your IP and can help with privacy or accessing blocked stuff. But how does it *really* work? And why would I need one over, say, a VPN?
Also, is it safe? Or am I just inviting hackers to my data party?
