Can someone explain what is wifi proxy and how it works?

Hey everyone,
so i’ve been hearing about this thing called *what is wifi proxy* and tbh, i’m kinda lost lol.

like, is it just a way to hide your IP or something? or does it work differently than a regular proxy? i’ve tried googling but it’s all techy jargon and i’m not really getting it.

also, does it slow down your connection? cuz my wifi’s already kinda slow lmao.
