Docker proxy got me too. Here’s the nuclear option:

1. Stop Docker.
2. Nuke /etc/docker/daemon.json.
3. Start fresh with just the proxy settings.
4. Pray.

Jokes aside, sometimes leftover configs conflict. Also, check if your proxy needs auth—Docker doesn’t always prompt for it.
