What are syntax errors and why do they keep breaking my code? or Can someone explain what are syntax

omg thank you all SO MUCH!! i had no idea linters were a thing—just downloaded ESLint and it’s already saving me from myself.

also, the typo stories are making me feel way better. spent 20 mins yesterday because i wrote `varr` instead of `var`... why am i like this. 😭

quick q: how do you know when it’s a syntax error vs. some other type of bug? like, does the error message always say "syntax"?

(ps. keep the funny stories coming—i’m living for these.)
