"How Do Proxy and Firewall Work Together to Secure My Network?"
Hey folks, kinda new to this whole network security thing but trying to wrap my head around how proxy and firewall actually team up to keep my stuff safe.
From what I get, the firewall acts like a bouncer, blocking shady traffic before it even gets in. But the proxy? It’s more like a middleman—hiding my real IP and filtering out bad requests before they hit my network.
Do they like… talk to each other? Or just do their own thing? And is this combo enough, or do I need extra layers?
Also, anyone ever run into issues where the proxy and firewall clash? Heard that can mess things up.
Thanks for any tips!
