Kinda nerdy but here’s how I see it: firewall = traffic cop, proxy = undercover agent. One blocks, the other hides.
They don’t chat but work in sequence. Proxy first, then firewall. If rules conflict, things break.
Tools? Try NGINX as a reverse proxy and iptables for firewall rules.
