"Can someone explain what are the proxy settings used for?"
Hey guys, kinda new to this stuff and got confused. Like, what are the proxy settings exactly? I see it in my network options but no clue why I’d need to mess with them.
From what I gather, they help route your internet traffic through another server? But why? Privacy? Bypassing restrictions?
Also, if I *do* need to configure them, how does it even work? Do I just paste some random IP and hope for the best? Lol.
Any simple breakdown would be awesome. Thx!
