How do I turn off a proxy server? Need help disabling it! or How do I turn off a proxy server? Can't

Ugh, proxies are the worst. Had this happen when my ISP was being sketchy.

Try this:
1. Open Control Panel > Internet Options
2. Go to Connections tab > LAN settings
3. Make sure "Automatically detect settings" is CHECKED and proxy is UNCHECKED.

Weirdly, that auto-detect thing fixed it for me.
