Had this issue too! Sometimes malware enables proxies. Run a scan with Malwarebytes just in case.

For how to turn off the proxy server manually:
- Windows: Settings > Proxy > Off
- Mac: Network > Advanced > Proxies > Uncheck

Also, check Chrome flags if it’s browser-specific.
