Yo, so I’ve been messing around with proxies lately, but half the time they’re slower than dial-up or just straight up don’t work.
What’s your go-to method to test proxy reliability? I’ve tried pinging them, but that doesn’t tell me squat about real-world speed.
Some folks say to use curl or a simple script to test proxy response times, but is there a *better* way? Also, how do you check if the proxy’s actually hiding your IP?
Right now I’m just winging it with free tools, but I feel like I’m missing something.
