Why overcomplicate it? Just use proxy-scraper-checker on GitHub. It’s free and tests anonymity + speed.
For manual checks, curl -v with a proxy shows headers and leaks. If you see your real IP anywhere, dump it.
Paid proxies > free ones, but even then, always test proxy lists before using em.
