Could be your proxy settings messing things up. Try disabling IPv6 in your network settings—sometimes proxies don’t play nice with it.

Also, test different ports. Some are faster than others. Tools like ProxyBench can help you find the best combo.

If all else fails, maybe your ISP is throttling proxy traffic. Worth checking!
