Man, I’ve been down this rabbit hole too. For a good replacement for Pirate Bay, try Zooqle. It’s not as big as TPB, but it’s clean, fast, and no sketchy redirects.
Also, seconding the VPN advice. Mullvad is my go-to—no logs, no BS.
