Honestly, unless you're hosting a server or need constant remote access, dynamic ip is the way to go. Most ISPs charge extra for static ip, and for gaming, it won’t make a difference in speed.
The only time I’d recommend static ip vs dynamic ip is if you’re running a Plex server or something similar. Otherwise, save the cash and stick with dynamic.
Btw, if you’re worried about your IP changing, check out DDNS (Dynamic DNS) services like No-IP or DynDNS. They’ll keep your connection stable without the static ip cost.
