I’ve had both, and here’s the thing: static IPs are *predictable*. That’s good for servers but bad if you’re worried about targeted attacks.

Dynamic IPs reset, so you’re harder to track. Trade-offs, man.

If you’re paranoid about privacy, dynamic might be better. But for convenience, static ip address wins.
