How Do I Use the ip renew Command to Refresh My Network Connection? or What’s the Correct Way to Run

Hey! Had the same issue last week. Turns out my router’s DHCP lease time was set way too long, so the ip renew command didn’t do squat.

Try logging into your router (usually 192.168.1.1) and check the DHCP settings. Maybe shorten the lease time or just restart the router.

Also, yeah, it works for WiFi too, but sometimes WiFi adapters can be finicky. Try disabling/re-enabling your WiFi adapter after running the command.
