"Public IP vs Private IP Range: How Do They Actually Work?"
Hey guys, kinda confused about the whole public ip vs private ip range thing. Like, why do we even need both?
From what I get, a *public IP* is what the internet sees—like your home’s mailing address. But a *private IP range* is for stuff inside your network (phones, laptops, etc.) so they can talk to each other without the whole world knowing.
But why not just use public IPs for everything? Seems messy lol. Also, how does NAT even fit into this?
Anyone got a simple breakdown? My brain’s overheating trying to figure it out. 😅
