I still use plain proxies for small projects, but only with heavy rate limiting and CAPTCHA solvers (like 2Captcha).

For anything bigger, though, you’re better off with residential IPs. The block rate is just too high otherwise.

If you’re on a budget, maybe try a mix—plain proxies for low-risk tasks, residential for the heavy stuff.
