"Does a WebRTC leak expose your real IP even with a VPN?"
Hey guys, so I’ve been using a VPN for privacy, but I keep hearing about this *webrtc leak* thing. Like, does it really bypass the VPN and show my real IP? That’s kinda scary if true.
I did a quick test on one of those leak-check sites, and yup—my IP was visible even with the VPN on. WTF?
From what I’ve read, WebRTC can force your browser to reveal your local IP or even your public one, depending on settings. Some VPNs claim to block it, but apparently not all do?
Anyone else dealt with this? How do you make sure your VPN isn’t getting wrecked by a webrtc leak?
(Also, is this *actually* a big deal or just overhyped?)
