It’s all about how the IPs are managed. A good residential VPN will rotate IPs and keep them fresh, so you’re less likely to trip alarms.

But some sites, like banking portals, have crazy good detection. They’ll sniff out *any* VPN, residential or not.

If you’re just trying to stream, though, residential VPNs are way better. I’ve had luck with GeoSurf—less blocking than my old datacenter VPN.
