If it’s hanging, could be a SSL issue. Try `verify=False` (just for testing!):
```python
response = requests.post(url, json=data, verify=False)
```

But don’t leave it like that in prod—it’s insecure. Also, check if the API has a /health or /status endpoint to see if it’s alive.
