Not all VPNs are created equal, sadly. Some just recycle IPs in a pool without telling you.

I use IVPN, and they’re transparent about IP rotation. Their docs even explain how often they refresh.

For a quick check, just Google “what’s my IP” before/after reconnecting. If it’s the same, your proxy or vpn release ip address isn’t working right.
