"Does using an anonymity proxy actually protect your identity?"
Hey guys, been wondering about this for a while. So like, if I use an anonymity proxy, am I *really* hidden? Or is it just a false sense of security?
I get that it hides my IP, but what about cookies, browser fingerprints, or even DNS leaks? Feels like there’s gotta be more to it.
And can’t the proxy itself log my data? Seen some sketchy free ones out there.
What’s your take? Is an anonymity proxy enough, or do I need to stack more tools?
(Also, pls no "just use Tor" replies—I know, but curious about proxies specifically.)
