"How Risky Is It to Use an Open Proxy for Anonymous Browsing?"

hey guys, been wondering about this for a while...

so like, are open proxy servers even safe anymore? i know they used to be a quick fix for hiding your IP, but nowadays it feels sketchy af.

some ppl swear by 'em, but i’ve heard stories of logs being sold or worse—straight-up malware.

and let’s be real, if it’s *free* and *open proxy*, who’s actually running it? random volunteers or some shady org?

still, i see folks using ‘em for basic stuff. is it just laziness or do they actually work?

would love to hear your experiences. am i overthinking it or should we just avoid open proxies altogether?

(also, sorry for typos, typing on mobile lol)
