Okay, ELI5: A proxy is like sending mail through a friend instead of directly. Your friend (proxy) gets the mail first, then gives it to you.

Why? Privacy, bypassing restrictions, or logging (ugh). To find what is my proxy:
- Windows: `curl -v http://example.com` (look for "Proxy-Connection").
- Phone: Depends, but settings > Wi-Fi > advanced usually has it.
