Wow, thanks for all the replies, guys! This really cleared up my confusion about how is ip address determined for instagram accounts. I tried using a VPN and checked my IP with IPinfo.io, and it showed the VPN’s IP, so that makes sense.
One follow-up question though: if Instagram blocks some VPNs, how do you know which ones work best with Instagram? Like, are there specific VPNs that are less likely to get flagged?
