"Having trouble trying to configure proxy—any tips?"
Hey guys,
So I’m trying to configure proxy on my laptop (Windows 10), but it’s just not working. I followed some online guides, but my browser keeps saying "no connection."
Am I missing something? Do I need to restart after I configure proxy settings? Or is there a specific port thingy I’m supposed to use?
Also, does it matter if it’s HTTP or HTTPS proxy? Lowkey confused rn.

Total noob here. Need to configure proxy for work, but the settings are kinda overwhelming.
Do I just punch in the IP and port, or is there more to it? And what’s up with the "bypass proxy for local addresses" option—should I check that?
If anyone’s got a simple step-by-step, pls share. My IT dept is MIA lol.
