Had this issue last month!
Delete the app, then go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Remove any VPN profiles.
Restart your phone just to be safe.

Deleted the app first, then found the profile in Settings > VPN & Device Management. Removed it and restarted.
Weirdly, my Wi-Fi was acting up after, so I reset network settings too. All good now!
