Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! Tried the shortcut trick and it worked... kinda. Chrome still resets the chrome proxy settings sometimes, but less often now.
Weirdly, my AV *was* overriding it—disabled that and it helped. Gonna test Proxy SwitchyOmega next.
Anyone know if Chrome updates mess with this stuff? Feels like it got worse after the last update.
