Had the same chrome proxy.http drama last week. Turns out my ISP was throttling proxy traffic. Used Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 DNS and it helped a ton.
Also, check if your proxy server’s IP changed—sometimes the config just needs updating. Tools like FoxyProxy can automate this if you’re lazy (like me).
