Dedicated ip is 100% worth it if security’s a concern. Shared IPs can get blacklisted if some idiot on your server starts spamming. Happened to a friend—his emails just stopped delivering overnight.
Speed-wise, it depends on your host. Some shared setups are garbage, but others are fine. If you’re on a crappy host, a dedicated ip might help, but upgrading your hosting plan could do the same.
