"Does My Website Really Need a Server Dedicated IP? Pros & Cons"
Hey folks! So I’ve been hearing a lot about server dedicated IPs lately, and I’m kinda torn. Like, is it *really* necessary for my small blog? Or is it just overkill?
Pros:
- Better control over reputation (no bad neighbors on a shared IP).
- Easier SSL setup (no SNI hassles).
- Might help with email deliverability.
Cons:
- Costs extra $$$.
- Not always a speed booster unless you’ve got heavy traffic.
Anyone running a site without one and doing just fine? Or did switching to a server dedicated ip make a noticeable difference for you?
Kinda curious if it’s worth the hype or if I’m just overthinking it. 😅
(Also, sorry for any typos—typed this on my phone!)
