"Does an american proxy actually improve online privacy?"
Hey guys, been wondering about this lately. I know VPNs get all the hype, but what about an american proxy? Like, does it *really* hide your stuff or just kinda... fake your location?
I’ve heard mixed things—some say it’s decent for basic privacy, others claim it’s useless if you’re trying to dodge serious tracking. Plus, free ones sketch me out.
Anyone got real experience with this? Does it actually stop your ISP or whatever from snooping, or is it just for geo-unblocking?
(Also, if you’ve got a solid american proxy rec, lmk. Tired of the laggy ones.)
