Yeah, the hype around browser in a browser proxy is way overblown. It’s not a magic bullet.
Some of them might help with basic IP masking, but they don’t stop fingerprinting or tracking cookies. Plus, like others said, the providers could be shady.
If you’re on mobile, just use Firefox Focus or something. Way simpler and actually private.
