how do i turn off proxy settings was my exact google search lol.
On Win 10, press Win + R, type "inetcpl.cpl," go to Connections > LAN settings, and uncheck "Use a proxy server."
For Mac, your friend can try Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Proxies and disable there.
Btw, if it’s still buggy, restart your PC after. Works like magic sometimes.
