Asana’s free tier is fine for basics, but yeah, the jump to Premium is steep. We ended up using Airtable instead—free plan has custom fields, and timelines are doable with extensions.
Not as polished as Asana, but way cheaper. Onboarding took some tinkering, but now it’s our go-to.
