"Can mac address modofication really keep you anonymous?"
Hey guys, been reading up on mac address modofication lately. Some say it’s a quick fix for privacy, others call it pointless.
So like, how does it even work? You just spoof your device’s mac addy, right? But does that *actually* stop tracking, or is it just a band-aid?
I’ve heard routers and stuff can still ID you other ways. Plus, if you mess up the modofication, could it break your connection?
Kinda torn—seems easy but maybe not as effective as a VPN or something. Anyone here tried it long-term? Did it help or just give a false sense of security?
(Also, yeah, pretty sure it’s *modification* but my brain keeps typing modofication lol.)
