Yeah, new accounts *can* use the new reddit—no shadowban or anything. Sometimes Reddit just glitches and defaults to old.reddit.
Try logging out, clearing cookies/cache, then logging back in. If that doesn’t work, manually type www.reddit.com (not old.reddit) and see if it sticks.
Also, if you’re on mobile, the app might force the new layout. But desktop can be weird. Reddit’s just like that sometimes lol.
