Why Does My Car AC Feel Weaker During Long Drives?

Had almost identical symptoms, strong cold air at start then noticeably weaker after twenty or thirty minutes of driving. Turned out to be a blower motor starting to fail, probably from age related wear rather than anything sudden. Repair was straightforward once someone actually diagnosed it correctly instead of assuming it was refrigerant.
