Had this issue nonstop until I turned off "background app refresh" for Facebook.

Seems like the app was glitching when it tried to update in the background.

Might help if you’re on iOS!

So over this.

The only thing that kinda worked for me was deleting old devices from "Where You’re Logged In" in settings.

Still happens, but way less. FB needs to fix this ASAP.
