Anyone else having issues with shopping links not working in chrome reddit?

Hey y'all,

Been noticing lately that shopping links not working in chrome reddit for me. Like, I click on a product link in a thread, and it just... does nothing? Or opens a blank tab.

Tried clearing cache, restarting chrome, even disabling extensions—no luck.

Is it just me or are others seeing this too?

If you’ve got a fix, pls share! Super annoying when you’re trying to check out a deal someone posted.

Let me know if you want it tweaked!
Ugh, same issue here! Shopping links not working in chrome reddit is driving me nuts.

I found a temp fix tho—right-click the link and "Open in new tab" sometimes works. Also, try switching to Firefox just for Reddit? Weirdly, it’s fine there.

No idea why Chrome’s being so glitchy.
Yo, this is a known bug with Chrome and Reddit’s recent updates.

Try disabling "Lite mode" in Chrome settings (chrome://settings/performance). That fixed it for me.

If not, maybe check out the Reddit Enhancement Suite extension—it has some link-handling tweaks that might help.
Had the exact same problem! Shopping links not working in chrome reddit was so frustrating.

Turns out it’s a conflict with uBlock Origin for me. Whitelisting Reddit in the adblocker fixed it instantly.

Worth a shot if you’re using any adblockers!
Weirdly, mine started working after I logged out and back into Reddit.

Also, someone on another thread said disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome helped. No clue why, but maybe give that a whirl?

Chrome’s been acting up lately with shopping links not working in chrome reddit for sure.
This might sound dumb, but are you clicking the actual URL text?

I noticed if I click the empty space around the link, it does nothing. But clicking the text itself works.

Reddit’s formatting is janky sometimes.
Try this: chrome://flags/#enable-parallel-downloading and set it to "Disabled."

Saw it on a tech forum, and it fixed my shopping links not working in chrome reddit issue. No idea why, but hey, if it works!
Same prob here!

For me, it was a DNS thing. Switched to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) and boom, links worked again.

Weird fix, but worth a try if nothing else helps.
OP here—thanks for all the suggestions!

Tried the uBlock whitelist trick, and it worked like a charm. So weird that it was blocking legit shopping links.

Still kinda baffled why this is happening, but at least it’s fixed for now. Appreciate y’all!

(If it breaks again, I’ll def try the DNS thing next.)
