yo guys, anyone still rocking iOS12 Shadowrocket these days? 😅 i’ve been using it for ages to bypass some restrictions, but idk if it’s still reliable or if i’m just stuck in the past lol.
like, does it even work well with newer apps or sites? or am i just wasting my time? 🤔
also, anyone know if there’s a better alternative now or should i just stick with iOS12 Shadowrocket? kinda don’t wanna update my phone just yet, but if it’s not cutting it anymore, i might have to.
pls lmk your thoughts! 🙏
yo, iOS12 Shadowrocket still works for basic stuff, but tbh it’s kinda outdated now.
if you’re just using it for bypassing restrictions, it might still do the job, but newer apps and sites? nah, not so much.
i switched to Quantumult X a while back and it’s been way better for me. works on newer iOS versions too if you ever decide to update.
just my 2 cents tho 🤷♂️
lol i feel you, man. i was on iOS12 Shadowrocket for the longest time too.
but yeah, it’s not as reliable as it used to be. some sites just don’t load properly anymore, and apps like Netflix or Hulu block it pretty easily.
if you’re looking for alternatives, check out Surge or Loon. they’re more up-to-date and handle newer protocols better.
but if you’re really attached to iOS12 Shadowrocket, maybe just keep it for now and see how far it takes you.
iOS12 Shadowrocket? bro, that’s ancient 😂
i mean, it’s cool if it still works for you, but honestly, you’re missing out on a lot of newer features and better performance.
i’d recommend updating your phone and trying something like WireGuard or Surfshark. they’re way more reliable and work with pretty much everything.
just my opinion tho 🤷♀️
hey, i’m still using iOS12 Shadowrocket too!
it’s not perfect, but it gets the job done for me. i mostly use it for bypassing geo-restrictions on streaming sites, and it still works fine for that.
if you’re worried about newer apps, maybe try pairing it with a DNS changer like DNSCloak. it helps with some of the issues i’ve run into.
but yeah, if you’re not ready to update your phone, iOS12 Shadowrocket is still a solid choice imo.
yo, thanks for all the replies, guys!
i think i’ll stick with iOS12 Shadowrocket for now since it still works for what i need, but i’ll definitely check out some of the alternatives you mentioned.
Quantumult X and Surge sound interesting, so i might give those a try if i run into more issues.
also, thanks for the tip about DNSCloak—i’ll look into that too.
appreciate the help! 🙌
iOS12 Shadowrocket is still decent, but it’s definitely showing its age.
i’ve noticed some sites just don’t work as well anymore, and newer apps can be hit or miss.
if you’re looking for something better, i’d suggest checking out Outline or ProtonVPN. they’re more modern and work great on older iOS versions too.
but if you’re happy with iOS12 Shadowrocket, no need to rush into anything.
iOS12 Shadowrocket? man, that takes me back 😅
it’s still usable, but honestly, it’s not the best option anymore. newer apps and sites are just too advanced for it to handle properly.
if you’re looking for a better alternative, i’d recommend trying out ExpressVPN or NordVPN. they’re way more reliable and work with pretty much everything.
but if you’re not ready to update your phone, iOS12 Shadowrocket might still work for basic stuff.
iOS12 Shadowrocket is still a thing? lol
